Solar PV
We are certified installers of photovoltaic (PV) equipment.
For large, metal roof areas, the thin film Unisolar panels are a good option. These solar modules adhere directly to the metal roof, which simplifies the installation process and provides a low profile and aesthetically pleasing array. Unisolar panels are well suited for Texas climate. They perform more efficiently at high temperatures than most other panels. We also supply a variety of traditional monocrystalline and polycrystalline panels.
We design our PV systems to provide all of a home’s annual energy usage. Our systems are grid tied which means that electricity flows both ways through your utility meter. When the panels are generating more electricity than you need, then electricity is fed back to the grid. This turns your meter backwards and removes electricity usage from your bill. When the array is not generating electricity, then the house loads pull energy from the grid.
Some homeowners do not want to or cannot tie in to a utility. In these cases, we can provide a battery tied system. These systems are more expensive than grid tied systems, but for those interested in true energy independence this is the way to go.
All of our solar installation packages include the ability to monitor your home’s solar output real-time via the internet. In addition to being an interesting thing to show your friends, this service allows you to track your power production to accurately assess how much power is being fed back to the grid and it provides us valuable data to proactively maintain your system.
We provide the ability to monitor the performance of your solar installation in real time on the internet. This provides the homeowner with the capability to track his power production anytime from anywhere. Besides the satisfaction that comes with watching your home produce energy, this tool is also useful for monitoring system health and logging long term data trends.
